ENHANCED BACKUP CAPABILITY

Alternative Logistics, Inc. (ALI) announced today the implementation of an enhanced system back up capability for “soft assets” (the various databases and the software that we use to operate our business).

Co-owner, Kevin Kelly, explained, “Previously, we backed up our databases on a daily basis. This database back up was periodically taken off premises, typically about once per week. Our server back up plan was that each server would provide back up for another server in the event that one of these servers suffered an unrecoverable “crash”.

“With the new service which we are employing, all changes to our soft assets are backed up every 15 minutes to a dedicated on site server. Then, at the end of each day, these soft asset back ups are encrypted, and transmitted to a remote server host. In the event we would need to retrieve a back up, we can access this remote host, and retrieve the required file(s). In the event of a server “crash”, within 4 hours, we have the ability to link to the remote host, and operate on a server on this host.”

We believe that this capability helps ensure that we can provide the highest possible data integrity, system up time, and uninterrupted service for our clients.”
